EASTERN RANGES - AFL/AFLW RECAP
While there wasn’t any NAB League action over the weekend, here’s what some former Eastern Ranges players got up to in the AFL and AFLW.
Rory Sloane played in his 200th game for the Adelaide Crows and his first as sole captain of the club. Sloane registered 18 disposals, a goal and a game high seven tackles in the Crows’ loss to the Swans.
It was a great moment for the Brown family on Friday night as Tyler debuted for Collingwood alongside his older brother Callum.
Tyler collected 15 disposals (one more than his older brother) including a great passage of play providing the assist to Callum on a goal.
On the other side, Ben Cavarra made his long-awaited debut and kicking his first career goal with his first kick.
Thankfully both the Brown and Cavarra families were able to witness the game live.
Johnathon Patton made his long awaited return from injury and his first game in the brown and gold. The tall forward kicked a goal and assisted on two others in the Hawks 28 point win over the Lions.
In AFLW action, Collingwood’s Mikala Cann kicked her first goal in the pies’ heartbreaking two point semi final loss to North Melbourne.
